Introduction
This new edition of the Media Resource Guide: Women in the Third World includes videos and films that pertain to issues of gender and international development available on the MSU campus. The guide was designed to assist faculty members in selecting audiovisuals that will help students grasp the complexities of development and the different effects this process has on women and men around the world.
This guide lists and describes films that can be found in various Centers and Departments on campus and are available for loan. The locations in which the film is located is listed under the title of each film and further information on the Centers and Departments can be found in the Location of Films on page 4 of this guide. Appendix A includes a list of films available from each contributing center.
The Table of Contents has been categorized by region, followed by the name of each film as well as well as the specific country in italics. The films correspond both in the Table of Contents and in the Index with a category letter and number which refers to the region that the film has been included under. Each film review includes a section which identifies the general subject matter and the geographical area. The index at the end of the guide can be used to search for particular topics and geographical areas.
*The Women's Studies Program and the MSU Women's Resource Center also have a variety of films which deal with issues of women and diversity, education, business, violence, sexuality, eating disorders, and sexual harassment. If you would like information on these films, which are not included in this guide, contact the Women's Resource Center at 517/353-1635; 332 Union Building; wrc@msu.edu; http://www.msu.edu/~wrc/videos.htm
