This interdisciplinary program offers students the opportunity to earn credity through the College of Social Science and the College of Agriculture and Natural Resources while experiencing Argentine culture and tradition. It is open to all students wishing to learn more about Latin American and will focus on issues of globalization, environmental constraints, politics, and the social capital involved in making economic transactions.Students will live with local Argentine families.
Course Offerings:
Students will be required to enroll in a minimum of four, maximum of six, semester credits from the following courses:
- Society and the Individual - 4 cr.
- Global Diversity and Interdependence - 4 cr.
- Latin American Social Science Perspectives - 4 cr.
- Topics in Latin America - 3 cr.
- Law and Social Change - 3 cr.
- Field Study Abroad - 3-10 cr.
- Independent Study (ABM 490) - 1-6 cr.
- International Studies in Agriculture and Natural Resources - 1-6 cr.
- Latin American Politics - 3 cr.
- Comparative Latin American Demographics - 4 cr.
- Independent Study (PLS 440) - 1-6 cr.
